Thirty Venango Catholic High School students and a handful of other volunteers filled 1,400 bags of groceries in preparation for the 20th annual Friends for Food distribution to be held today at the fire hall. Doors open at 8 a.m.

The Friends for Food campaign raised another $386.28 on Friday, bringing the total to $36,080.28.

The fundraising effort provides Thanksgiving dinners to families in Venango, Clarion and Forest counties who are in need.
