Part-Time Janitorial/Maintenance Position and a Bus Driver
Venango Catholic High School is looking to fill the following position(s): Bus Driver and Maintenance/Custodian. The position could be either 1 combined full-time position or 2 separate part-time positions. Valid Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances are required. Bus driver position requires a CDL. The bus driver is responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from Venango Catholic High School and St. Stephen School. The driver is expected to provide transportation for extracurricular activities as well (ex. Field trips, sports, etc.). They are also responsible to oversee the routine maintenance and inspections of the vehicles. They report any incidents or needs pertaining to transportation and the vehicles to the Headmaster.
The custodian/maintenance position sees to the day-to-day upkeep of the school and repair work as needed. The job also includes the clearing of snow from walkways and cutting grass during the spring, summer and fall. The cleanliness of the hallways, cafeteria, classrooms and bathrooms is important to the overall appearance of the school and must be a priority. The remainder of hours not involved in cleaning should be spent in maintenance of the facility and its contents.
Duties to include but are not limited to school cleanliness, landscaping and repairs as needed. This is a year round position at 30hrs/week. An applicant will need to obtain valid Act 34, 114 and 151 clearances. Both positions could be worked together to allow for a full-time position. Mornings and afternoons driving students to or from school and all other time spent cleaning and maintaining the school and grounds.
